Gordon Sq in spring
During the winter months, one forgets how much leaves can change the look of a place. This square near my school was completely bare for so long that I was pleasantly surprised by the tunnels and canopies that have suddenly sprouted in this spring weather.

NBC in Trafalgar
My countrymen over at NBC are taking over Trafalgar Square for their Royal Wedding coverage. I'm inclined to check it out for a glimpse of Brian Williams -- way more exciting than Wills and Kate.

Carolers
I did eventually make it down to Trafalgar Square to watch some of the carolers. Norway donated that enormous pine, as it does every year, in recognition of British help during the Second World War. Students set it on fire during some of the protests we've been having over the last few weeks which angered a lot of people. The tree seems to be doing alright, though.
